Arkansas Healthcare Personnel is a nursing staffing agency in central Arkansas that has been in business for 25 years. We have PRN and contract positions around the state of Arkansas and nationwide for RNs and we have PRN positions available in central AR and around the state of Arkansas for CNAs and LPNs. Long term care facility in Benton pays $13-13.50/hour for CNAs, Overtime is available, 12-hour shifts, two orientation days of training required prior to scheduling shifts.


 


General C.N.A. Job Description for AHP:


·         Assisting the ailing individuals in routine activities, like grooming, bathing, eating, exercise, etc.


·         Helping physicians and other medical staff


·         Providing health care services as well as emergency care to the individuals


·         Maintaining health information of the patients


·         Recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, etc.


·         Performing administrative works such as filing, answering phone calls, clearing doubts of patients regarding their treatment procedures


·         Fulfilling requests by nurses and doctors


·         Helping with everyday routing tasks such as stocking supplies, delivering messages, and paperwork


·         Escorting patients to procedures, to the restroom, and outside to get exercise


 


Long Term Care Facility CNA Job Description:


·         Direct and indirect patient care, observing and recording patient information, communicates resident status and changes of condition to nurse, and promotes a safe, therapeutic environment for residents.


·         ADL tasks and proficiency in skills associated with resident activities or daily living: oral care, non-diabetic nail care, incontinent care, transfers, handwashing, vital signs, dressing, toileting, bathing, range of motion, feeding, shaving, positioning, hydrating, etc.


·          Knowledge of correct utilization and application of restraints, checking residents with restraints every 30 minutes and releases restraints for range of motion, positioning etc., every 2 hours


·         Identifies transfer method for each resident before attempting any transfer


·         Actively implements measures to maintain skin integrity


·         Demonstrates knowledge and skill in assisting residents with utilization of special devices and equipment


·         Demonstrates knowledge of resident care needs by reviewing assignment sheets


·         Completes all assigned unit tasks in a thorough timely manner


·         Conducts rounds on assigned unit/hall


·         Assists residents to and from scheduled activities


·         Monitors and promptly responds to call lights


·         Communication with residents and staff and families


·         Recoding pertinent information


·         Informing and reporting to nurse all changes, issues, and patient status


·         Compliance with all security rules


·         Infection control knowledge


·         Following policies and procedures


·         Reporting to work on time and maintains good attendance record


·         Participating in all in services and classes as assigned


·         Maintaining license in good standing


Required Qualifications :

General CNA Qualifications for Employment:


·         Current state license


·         Must have recent/current CNA experience.


·         1 year of experience required


·         Two (2) training days required; offered twice monthly paid at minimum wage


·         Must pass general Arkansas Healthcare Personnel application process including background checks, drug screen, and satisfactory reference checks.


·         Current CPR (BLS) required.


·         Current TB skin test required.


·         Overtime offered


·         FIVE YEARS PROOF OF ARKANSAS RESIDENCY which can include tax returns, personal property tax assessments or transcripts


·         12-hour shifts only, must arrive 30 minutes early


·         No physical or medical restrictions allowed


·         Freedom to design your own schedule; if you maintain 1 shift per month with AHP then you are considered an active and current employee.


·         Flu shot required during flu season (October 1 – April 1).
